At first sight, Sky To Pit. by ~badaboum6 looks like a gigantic crater, but when you look carefully at it, you can see a photograph depicting more than a century of asbestos mining. Dazing roads for those huge yellow trucks; 1,155 feet deep and 1,80 by 1,40 miles wide, this is not a regular hole. All that, under a clear winter blue sky.
Beyond just the historical facts, the blue-greyish tone makes this picture obviously eye-attracting. The vertical panorama size is also very unusual in itself. The angle and the focus are simply unbelievable. If you never saw a real mining pit, just click this and you'll visit what men were able to create with some dynamite and pickaxes.
